WHEELING, W.V. – Wheeling Area Soccer Association (WASA) officials announced today a partnership with Wheeling based Scholastic Sports Marketing (SSM) designed to bring new corporate support and brand recognition to the WASA program. The agreement is effective with the 2015-16 season.
The new program will now for the first time allow area businesses to sponsor and be associated with WASA. Sponsorship opportunities will include but are not limited to field and venue signage, uniform branding, onsite event marketing, digital platforms including social media and WASA’s official website.
“It is time for WASA to find new revenue sources so we can further enhance the soccer experience for our kids,” said WASA President, Jason Pockl. “With the resources, services and proven track record that Scholastic Sports Marketing brings, WASA now has the opportunity to expand its revenue base by engaging area companies in SSM’s business network while building the WASA brand at the same time.”
WASA joins several other Ohio Valley sports properties which have marketing partnerships with SSM, including the Wheeling Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA), the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference (OVAC), Super Six and select individual OVAC member high schools.
